Japan's JERA Creates Oil Reserve Management Company

Japanese power producer JERA has established a new company named JERA Oil Storage that will handle the country's oil reserve management, according to a Friday statement.

The new entity currently operates four national oil reserve bases, which allowed it to gain knowledge and technology on equipment maintenance, safety management and emergency response.

JERA plans to transfer the oil reserve business to JERA Oil Storage by April 2029.
