D-Wave Quantum (QBTS) said Thursday it has launched its gate-model quantum computing simulator beta program.

The simulator is built around D-Wave's dual-rail superconducting gate-model technology, which is designed to deliver efficient quantum error correction with significantly lower hardware overhead as systems scale, the company said.

Beta participants include BBVA (BBVA), FirstQFM, Florida Atlantic University, and the Julich Supercomputing Centre, the company said.

Shares of the company were up 1.4% in recent premarket trading.
