0812 ET - McCormick's F3Q results were better than many feared, JPMorgan says in a research note. The spice maker posts higher-than-anticipated adjusted earnings, and the company's gross margin strength stands out given the challenging input cost environment, analysts Thomas Palmer and Brandon Cohen say. "If one wanted to nitpick, the main item would probably be that MKC's implied 4Q EPS of $0.78 is well below the consensus estimate of $0.88," they say. "But we think this should be given a pass, when considering fears of a full year talkdown and that MKC is riding a 3-quarter streak of double-digit EPS beats."
