AutoNation Names Simhambhatla as Chief Tech, AI Officer

AutoNation named Ravi Simhambhatla as its chief technology and AI officer.

In the role, Simhambhatla will lead AutoNation's technology, data science, and artificial intelligence agenda, the automotive retailer said Thursday.

Simhambhatla has more than three decades of experience leading enterprise technology and digital transformation, including in areas such as data, AI, cybersecurity, product innovation and customer experience, according to AutoNation.

He most recently served as chief digital and innovation officer at Avis Budget Group. Prior to that, Simhambhatla held leadership roles at companies including Alphabet's Google, United Airlines, Aer Lingus and Tesla.
