BOJ Likely to Remain on Guard Against Inflation

0304 GMT - The Bank of Japan's Tankan corporate survey shows continued cost pressures for companies due to high oil prices and a weak yen. The price outlook remains elevated, and the BOJ is unlikely to lower its guard against the risk of underlying inflation overshooting its 2% target, says Mizuho Securities economist Ryosuke Katagi. Companies across all industries and sizes expect overall inflation to be 2.5% in five years, according to the survey released Thursday.
