Chinese refiners suspended exports of oil products beyond Hong Kong and Macau until further notice as Beijing looks to secure domestic supplies amid the uncertainty in the Middle East and Russia, Reuters reported Thursday, citing four people briefed on the matter.

PetroChina (HKG:0857, SHA:601857) cancelled gasoline and jet fuel shipments set for export in October two weeks after they were booked, the report said, citing the sources.

Zhejiang Petrochemical Corp. will also stop shipping during the week-long National Day holiday, according to the report.

PetroChina, Zhejiang Petrochemical, and the National Development and Reform Commission did not immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
