Canadian Pacific Kansas City Transports 5.45 Million Metric Tons of Grain in September

Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CP) said Friday it transported 2.94 million metric tons of Canadian grain and grain products alongside 2.51 million metric tons of U.S. grain and grain products in September.

The railway hauled the Canadian commodities in 30,324 carloads and the U.S. commodities in 26,236 carloads, the company said.

Total combined shipment volumes for both September and Q3 surpassed previous levels established in 2020, it said.

The company has moved about 5 million metric tons of Canadian grain and grain products in 51,268 carloads through the first eight weeks of the crop year, Canadian Pacific said.
