Nektar Therapeutics (NKTR) said Wednesday that rezpegaldesleukin-associated molecular changes were detected as early as week two in patients with moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis.
These early changes correlated with clinical outcomes at week 16 only in rezpegaldesleukin-treated patients, Nektar said.
Rezpegaldesleukin is an investigational biologic designed to address imbalances in the immune system that underlie many autoimmune disorders and chronic inflammatory conditions, according to the company.
New data from the phase 2 Rezolve-AD biomarker sub-study showed a mean reduction from baseline in Eczema Area and Severity Index at week 16 was 64% in the molecular cohort, consistent with the 61% reduction observed in the overall 24 microgram per kilogram every two weeks cohort, Nektar Therapeutics said.
The data was presented in a late breaking oral presentation at the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology Congress 2026 in Vienna, Austria, according to a statement.
Shares of the company were up 3.1% in Wednesday trading.
