Satellogic Launches First Merlin Satellite Into Low-Earth Orbit

Satellogic (SATL) has successfully launched its first Merlin.01 and three NewSat satellites aboard a SpaceX (SPCX) Falcon 9 from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California on Thursday, the company said on Friday.
Merlin.01 is now in its launch and early orbit phase, with payload testing and commissioning expected to begin in mid-October, the company said.
The Merlin constellation is on track for full operational capacity in H2 of next year, the company added.
Satellogic shares were up more than 2% in recent Friday premarket activity.
