PowerChina Logs 15% Drop in January-August New Contracts

Power Construction Corp. of China (SHA:601669), or PowerChina, posted a 15% year-over-year decline in newly signed contracts to 682.7 billion yuan for the January-to-August period.
Domestic contracts fell 23% to 477.4 billion yuan, while overseas contracts rose 14% to 205.4 billion yuan, according to a Wednesday filing with the Shanghai bourse.
The power infrastructure company signed 5,048 new projects during the period.
Shares of Power Construction of China were up 1% in recent trade.
