CCK Consolidated Says Indonesia Fire Caused by Electrical Short Circuit

CCK Consolidated (KLSE:CCK) said an investigation found that an electrical short circuit caused the May 28 fire at its unit Adilmart manufacturing facility in Cikupa, Indonesia.
About 85% of the production area was damaged, while the administrative office building was unaffected, according to a Wednesday filing.
The group has redirected production to alternative facilities, and incurred about 16 million ringgit in one-off fire-related expenses for the fiscal second quarter.
The group has received about 3.4 million ringgit in insurance proceeds, while the final insurance recovery is subject to assessment, it said.
