Japanese stocks gained on Friday as the global bond sell-off stabilized and cooling oil prices eased investor concerns, even as inflation worries and higher borrowing costs keep optimism low.

The benchmark Nikkei 225 closed 850.21 points, or 1.30%, higher at 66,364.20.

Oil prices slipped on hopes of possible US‑Iran talks after the Iranian president's UN speech, even as Iran‑backed Houthi rebels stepped up attacks on Saudi oil infrastructure.

On the corporate side, Archion (TYO:543A) entered into a syndicated commitment line deal with a 250 billion yen credit facility and borrowed 200 billion yen under the facility, according to a Tokyo Exchange Friday filing.

Also, Suzuki (TYO:6785) launched a 10-year technology plan focused on faster delivery of products in the market while minimizing energy consumption, according to a Friday release.
