Cracker Barrel Stock Jumps After Earnings Top Wall Street's Estimates

Shares of Cracker Barrel Old Country Store climbed after the company's fiscal fourth-quarter earnings topped Wall Street's estimates.

Revenue totaled $849.3 million, down 2.2% from the previous year but above analysts' calls for $845 million. Adjusted earnings of 99 cents a share well surpassed Wall Street's projections of 26 cents for the fiscal fourth quarter ended July 31.

Cracker Barrel shares rose 8.3% to $49.25 on Wednesday.

Comparable-store-restaurant sales decreased 2.1% from the prior year, while comparable store retail sales grew 0.7%.

The company expects total revenue to range from $3.33 billion to $3.4 billion for fiscal 2027, with comparable-store-restaurant sales to grow in range of 3% and 5% with no new store openings. Analysts polled by FactSet expected a revenue outlook for fiscal 2027 of $3.38 billion.

This summer, Cracker Barrel announced the appointment of its new CEO David Deno, who began serving at the helm on Aug. 10.
