Shares of Viant Technology rebounded in premarket trading Friday after the advertising platform's controlling shareholders dropped plans to sell part of their stake.
Viant on Friday said Capital V, owned by the founding Vanderhook family, has withdrawn its offering of 8.5 million shares due to market conditions.
Shares of the Irvine, Calif., company, which slid 19% to $10.02 on Thursday after plans for the offering were disclosed, were recently up 12.8% at $11.30 in premarket trading.
Brothers Tim, Chris and Russ Vanderhook founded Viant in 1999, and the Vanderhooks have controlled about 65% of the company's voting power as of June 30.
The Vanderhooks would still have held more than 50% of Viant's voting power had the offering proceeded.
