Prudential plc cuts share count through SGD 12.3 million buyback

Prudential plc announced that it repurchased a total of 765,052 ordinary shares on Sep, 28 2026 for cancellation, spending about 12.3 million Singapore dollars in aggregate.

Of the shares bought back, 424,116 were acquired under the mandate approved at the May 14 2025 AGM, while 340,936 were purchased under the renewed mandate granted at the May 28 2026 AGM. The shares were repurchased on the London Stock Exchange at prices ranging from GBP 9.404 to GBP 9.508 per share.

Following the cancellation of 782,407 shares (including repurchases executed on Sep, 24 2026 and cancelled on Sep, 28 2026), Prudential plc’s issued share capital fell to 2,482,646,305 ordinary shares, representing a 0.03 percent reduction.

After these transactions, 1,566,462 additional repurchased shares remain pending cancellation. The company is subject to a moratorium on issuing new shares or transferring treasury shares until Oct, 28 2026.
