As the National Day holiday got underway on October 2, Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area was bustling with visitors, with green tour buses shuttling back and forth and a lively holiday atmosphere filling every corner.

As a national 5A-level scenic spot, Jiuzhaigou welcomed a tourism peak during the Golden Week, sending electricity load across the entire area steadily climbing. The Jiuzhaigou Power Supply Service Station of the Aba Power Supply Company under State Grid Sichuan Electric Power Company (hereinafter referred to as the "Jiuzhaigou Power Supply Service Station") fully launched its holiday power guarantee operations.

At first light, station chief Ai Jing led colleagues to shoulder their toolkits and set out on a power guarantee inspection tour along the scenic area routes. "With so many tourists during National Day and concentrated electricity use, homestays, hotels and charging piles are all key points — not a single one can be overlooked," Ai Jing said.

The Jiuzhaigou Power Supply Service Station conducted temperature measurement inspections on distribution boxes throughout the Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area.

At 8 a.m., inspection personnel arrived at the Jiuzhai Huamei Shengdi Resort in Zhongcha Valley. During National Day, multiple high-end hotels and the Tibetan-Qiang intangible cultural heritage commercial street in the area were operating at full capacity, with rooms basically sold out and electricity load rising sharply. A person in charge of the hotel's engineering department said the hotel was fully booked every day during the holiday, with air conditioning, hot water and kitchen equipment all running, putting electricity pressure far above normal levels. Ai Jing confirmed on site that the equipment was operating in good condition and informed the hotel that power supply personnel would be on duty throughout the holiday and could be contacted at any time if electricity issues arose.

Jiuzhaigou Power Supply Service Station chief Ai Jing guided new energy vehicle owners on safe charging.

The Jiuzhai Luneng Hilton charging station next to the hotel is the first photovoltaic charging demonstration site in Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, with four 120-kilowatt DC fast-charging piles operating at full capacity, making it an important charging point for self-driving tourists. Ai Jing carefully inspected the charging guns, emergency stop buttons and grounding lines, and instructed operation and maintenance personnel to increase inspection frequency during peak traffic periods. Staff then rushed to the Dajiulv parking lot, which handles the charging task for more than 150 new energy tour vehicles in the scenic area. With National Day tour schedules intensified, vehicle charging demand surged, and staff checked each charging pile one by one to eliminate potential safety hazards.

During the National Day period, the Jiuzhaigou Power Supply Service Station strengthened 24-hour power guarantee duty, carrying out dynamic inspections at key points such as distribution transformer districts, public charging piles, homestays and hotels in the scenic area, ensuring hazards were identified and rectified immediately. The power supply department proactively coordinated with the scenic area management bureau, closely monitored dynamic changes in visitor flow, scientifically assessed peak electricity load, and continuously optimized power guarantee plans. All station personnel were on duty, with repair vehicles, tools and emergency supplies all in place, building a solid barrier for electricity safety in the scenic area.

"Tourists come to Jiuzhaigou to enjoy the golden autumn scenery, and we guard the lights of thousands of homes. Only with stable and reliable power can scenic area operations and tourist travel be better guaranteed," Ai Jing said.
