Daxing Airport is about to mark its 7th anniversary of operation. On September 24, a lively aviation and travel carnival was held in the Daxing Airport terminal, with sister airports, domestic and international airlines, and cultural tourism departments from various regions gathering together, as artistic performances and lucky draw check-in activities took turns on stage. Over 7 years of operation, Daxing Airport has handled more than 238 million passenger trips.

At the event, Daxing Airport released 7 service products, with the new offerings comprehensively covering core scenarios such as check-in, security screening, boarding, and international travel. Daxing Airport is the first in the country to introduce next-day on-site check-in service for domestic flights. Passengers can complete check-in, baggage drop-off, and security procedures from 8 a.m. the day before flight departure until 2 a.m. on the day of the flight, enabling "fly tomorrow, handle today." In addition, Daxing Airport has taken the lead in implementing voluntary rebooking across airlines on the Beijing-Guangzhou-Hong Kong Express route, allowing passengers to depart upon arrival and leave early if they arrive early.

Over 7 years of operation, Daxing Airport has cumulatively welcomed 72 domestic and international airlines, connected to more than 210 destinations worldwide, handled over 1.69 million inbound and outbound flights, and served more than 238 million passenger trips. In 2026, it has already ensured the smooth travel of over 41 million passenger trips.

During the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday period, Daxing Airport is expected to operate 11,040 flights, a daily average increase of about 11% compared to last year, and is expected to handle 1.79 million passenger trips, a daily average increase of about 10% compared to last year. The peak day is expected to fall on October 1, with approximately 1,150 flights operated and about 180,000 passenger trips handled.

During the holiday period, Daxing Airport will assess weather and passenger flow conditions in advance, join hands with air traffic control, airlines, and various resident units to strengthen coordination and ensure smooth operations. The terminal will host multiple themed cultural activities such as ethnic instrumental music performances and traditional-style garden interactive events, and launch multiple commercial promotions and interactive benefits to bring passengers an efficient, convenient, and enjoyable travel experience.

Daxing Airport Offers Multiple Overnight Options

As the National Day holiday travel peak approaches, if you choose to take an early morning flight from Daxing Airport, or arrive late at night for an overnight transfer, you can try the different priced overnight options offered by the airport. Inside the security area of the Daxing Airport terminal, multiple free overnight passenger rest areas provide semi-reclining seats, equipped with charging interfaces and USB ports to solve passengers' device battery needs. For a quieter environment, passengers can also choose the lie-flat area at the end of Concourse A, open from 8 p.m. each night to 7 a.m. the next morning, where folding beds can be rented starting at 20 yuan. Passengers can scan the code on-site or book through the "Xing Xian Song" mini-program. A Beijing Daily reporter found through experience that the lighting in this area is deliberately dimmed, and thoughtful male and female zones are set up to accommodate the privacy of different groups.

For families with overnight needs, Daxing Airport added tent rental and other services this year. Medium tents cost 109 yuan, and large tents cost 129 yuan. The tents include mattresses and disposable bed sheets and can accommodate two adults and one child under 2 years old. In addition, the airport also offers hourly rest lounges and high-quality aviation travel hotels and other overnight options, so that travelers with different budgets can all find suitable overnight arrangements.
