Zach Solomon, Managing Director and Co-Head of Public Finance Investment Banking at Morgan Stanley, has left the firm and will join TD Securities, the capital markets arm of Canada's TD Bank Group, according to media reports.
People familiar with the matter said Solomon departed Morgan Stanley this week. He confirmed his resignation when contacted last Friday, September 25, but declined to comment further. Morgan Stanley declined to comment, and TD Securities did not respond to media inquiries. His specific role at the new employer has not yet been disclosed.
According to his background, Solomon joined Morgan Stanley as an analyst in 2010 and spent about 16 years at the firm. In February 2023, he and David Gallin jointly took on the role of Co-Head of Public Finance Investment Banking, a business that includes municipal bond underwriting; he previously led the Tax-Exempt Project Finance and Sustainable Infrastructure group. In January 2025, he was promoted to Managing Director.
