Seizing the Golden Autumn Harvest Window, Machinery Boosts Steady Income for Farmers

Golden autumn fields are filled with the fragrance of ripe grain. At present, the county's autumn grain has entered the critical period of concentrated harvesting. Fields in various townships are bustling with activity, large agricultural machines roar back and forth, and grain transport vehicles shuttle to and fro. The county's autumn harvest production is advancing in an orderly manner, unfolding a picture of large-scale, modern agricultural abundance.

On October 4, at the corn harvesting site in Luoshuihe Township, a new type of ear-and-stalk dual-harvest machine slowly entered the field. In a single pass, it could simultaneously complete corn ear picking, husking, as well as stalk chopping and recovery. Golden corn continuously loaded onto trucks for transport, while stalks were collected and stored at the same time. Grain harvesting and stalk recovery were accomplished in one smooth operation, with efficient and orderly field work. In previous corn autumn harvests, traditional combine harvesters could only harvest the ears, with relatively limited operational functions.

Shanxi Shuntang Baichuan Agriculture Co., Ltd. representative Wang Junjun said: "This year we adopted the ear-and-stalk dual-harvest machine for the first time. Corn and stalks leave the field simultaneously, saving time and effort."

In recent years, the county has steadily advanced the transformation and upgrading of agricultural mechanization, continuously introduced and promoted high-performance large harvesting machinery, and kept improving supporting services for agricultural machinery operations. The county's mechanical harvesting capacity for autumn grain has steadily improved. This year's autumn harvest, building on conventional mechanical harvesting, the county purchased ear-and-stalk dual-harvest equipment for field demonstrations, further optimizing the autumn harvest operation model. This innovative practice in the autumn harvest fields is injecting a steady stream of vitality into the quality and efficiency improvement of the county's modern agriculture.
