On October 1, the first National Human-Robot Interaction Games were held at the Wensan Digital Life Block in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, allowing a Russian girl named Ula to experience the fun of "competing with robots."
On October 1, the first National Human-Robot Interaction Games were held at the Wensan Digital Life Block in Hangzhou, Zhejiang. Six human-robot interaction events, including robot soccer, brain-controlled racing cars, robot dog shooting, and digital surfing, kicked off, attracting many citizens and tourists to participate.
Using her left hand to move and right hand to steer, with her eyes fixed on the red dot on the target, 10-year-old Hangzhou girl Xiao Xi focused intently on controlling a robot dog to complete the shooting challenge. "Controlling the robot dog is harder than I imagined. This process is both fun and educational about robotics," she said.

The Wensan Digital Life Block, known for its technology displays, has undertaken many educational research projects. Wang Yan, head of the block's brand operations department, introduced that this event moved popular educational research classes outside the exhibition hall, aiming to let more people experience them firsthand.
To enhance operability and the experience, some robots underwent secondary development. For example, in the robot dog shooting event, its control handle is identical to that of a certain game console, making it easier to use.
"Human-robot interaction cultural tourism projects provide robots with high-intensity testing environments in unknown scenarios, helping enterprises collect sample data, identify potential risks, and optimize technology before mass production," said Ji Yuanjie, a technical representative for the project.
Beyond this "sports meet," during this year's National Day holiday, many places in Hangzhou held human-robot interaction science popularization and cultural tourism activities for ordinary citizens and tourists, focusing on cutting-edge technologies such as brain-computer interaction and robotics. For instance, the Hangzhou Embodied Intelligence Exhibition and Application Promotion Center held a "Cyber Sports Meet," where participants had to complete five major interactive challenges with robot partners. Hanggang Park held the "Heart of Steel" Embodied Intelligence Interactive Exhibition, where visitors could control racing cars with their minds and experience novel interactions.
Today, artificial intelligence is gradually moving from laboratories into the city's everyday life. Under this trend, "zero-distance interaction" with new technologies not only brings people new fun but also becomes a new manifestation of technology integrating into daily life.
