Changchun Airport Pulls Out All Stops to Guarantee Cold-Water Seafood Air Freight During Holiday Period

With the Mid-Autumn Festival now past and the National Day holiday approaching, holiday consumption has driven sustained growth in air cargo demand. Since September, outbound cold-water seafood volumes at Changchun Airport have climbed steadily, with single-day outbound cold-water seafood shipments reaching 22 tonnes as of 22 September, a level higher than the same period in previous years.

To ensure safe and efficient air cargo operations during the National Day holiday, Changchun Airport has refined and detailed all pre-holiday cargo support work, focusing on process connectivity, acceptance and inspection, and supporting services. During the cargo acceptance stage, the airport strictly verifies key information such as shipping documents and commodity names against acceptance checklists, continuously optimizes verification procedures, and clears bottlenecks in document review, cargo inspection, and information entry, thereby upholding the safety bottom line and maintaining orderly acceptance operations despite rising cargo volumes.

For perishable goods such as cold-water seafood, Changchun Airport has deployed full-chain outbound support in advance, connecting all operational links from acceptance and warehousing to departure, and providing temperature-controlled temporary storage services before release to maximize product quality. For inbound personal cargo, pickup notifications are pushed immediately after operations are completed, enabling rapid delivery and improving the experience for cargo owners.

Going forward, Changchun Airport will keep a close watch on key links in National Day cargo support, firmly tighten safety production responsibilities, continuously improve service support measures, and make every effort to safeguard the safe, smooth, and efficient operation of air cargo channels during the holiday.
