Hong Kong Dollar HIBOR Rates Diverge as One-Month Rate Falls for Third Straight Day to 2.97%

On October 2, Hong Kong dollar HIBOR rates showed mixed movement, with the one-month rate tied to mortgage lending falling 3.679 basis points to 2.96839%, marking its third consecutive daily decline.

The three-month HIBOR, which reflects banks' funding costs, rose 0.315 basis points to 3.24482%.

The overnight rate dropped 127.821 basis points to 2.80929%, while the one-week HIBOR fell 34.524 basis points to 2.93274% and the two-week rate declined 18.262 basis points to 2.90786%.

Among longer-term rates, the six-month HIBOR slipped 0.815 basis points to 3.53000%, while the one-year rate was unchanged at 4.01351%.
