During the interview, Duan Rui stated that they decided to try it themselves first, working things out step by step through hands-on effort. In doing so, they discovered that their philosophy differed from many agencies. They truly select products based on consumer psychology. When they find something genuinely useful, they are eager to recommend it to everyone; or when they find something that is truly affordable at the moment, they also want to recommend it. Their autonomy is particularly strong. Every day, perhaps around seven o'clock, just before the broadcast begins, they are still adjusting the product schedule. For example, if they originally planned to feature one type of apple today, but then tried another type on the spot and found it really crisp with a suitable price point, they would immediately switch the product and feature that one instead. Because of this, their product strength is especially strong, since no one can influence them—they decide which product to list today solely based on the product's own condition. This way of working is very free—there is a lot of work, but it is very free.
