The General Office of the Anhui Provincial People's Government recently issued guidance on advancing the high-quality development of the robot industry, according to a report.
Guided by market demand, the plan calls for greater efforts to build out the industrial chain across complete machines, core components, intelligent models, and the aftermarket.
It seeks to consolidate and strengthen Anhui's advantages in industrial robots while prioritizing humanoid robots, focusing on areas such as emotional interaction, commercial services, and elderly care and rehabilitation, and accelerating product maturation and large-scale application.
The plan aims to shore up shortcomings in core components by prioritizing high-value segments including high-precision sensors, speed reducers, motors, batteries, dexterous hands, and joint modules.
It also calls for raising the intelligence level of robots, vigorously developing a general-purpose technology foundation, and promoting breakthroughs in embodied models, control algorithms, and human-robot interaction.
In addition, the plan supports enterprises in expanding into aftermarket services such as robot maintenance and repair, financial services, leasing and sharing, and recycling and dismantling.
