China's Outbound Direct Investment Reaches US$113.39 Billion in First Eight Months, Up 3.9%

According to statistics from the Ministry of Commerce and the State Administration of Foreign Exchange, China's outbound direct investment across all industries totaled 778.47 billion yuan in the first eight months of 2026, down 0.6% year-on-year (US$113.39 billion, up 3.9%).
Within this total, domestic investors made non-financial direct investments in 8,424 overseas enterprises across 148 countries and regions, with cumulative investment of 595.06 billion yuan, a decrease of 14.4% (US$86.68 billion, down 10.6%).
