Across various parts of Heilongjiang, rice, soybeans, and corn are successively ushering in a bumper harvest.
At the Jiaxin Cooperative in Tieli City, 2,000 mu of customized shrimp-rice paddies have joyfully begun the harvest, with customers from all over the country tracing and managing the entire process through their mobile phones and checking crop growth, becoming "cloud landlords" without leaving their homes.
In the golden autumn harvest, the shrimp-rice paddies of the Jiaxin Cooperative in Tieli City stretch out in a golden expanse as far as the eye can see.
These past two days, experts from the Heilongjiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences' science and technology support team have been here measuring yields and assessing quality.
Cooperative head Xiang Jiaxin is squatting by the field edge carefully taking notes.
Which varieties performed best this year will be arranged for customized customers next year.
To customize one mu of field for a customer, the seeds for that field must first be customized.
Once the rice variety was settled, Xiang Jiaxin hurried to the main field, where customized customers were already urging online to watch their own mu of field begin the harvest.
During this period, they frequently use 24-hour slow live streaming on their mobile phones to rush the rice harvest across the screen and enjoy the fun of being a "cloud landlord."
Walking through the rice paddies holding a mobile phone and sharing the joy of harvest with customers is Xiang Jiaxin's most important work during the autumn harvest season, all to make customers trust and see for themselves.
The newly harvested rice, after drying, enters the rice mill for processing and plastic sealing; the freshly caught crayfish are sorted and boxed, then shipped together with the new rice to southern regions such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen.
During the Mid-Autumn Festival, Xiang Jiaxin also creatively packed a bundle of fresh rice ears into the shipping boxes.
This year, the cooperative's "One Mu Field Cloud Planting" project enters its third year, with customized shrimp-rice paddies growing from nothing to more than 2,000 mu.
Xiang Jiaxin seized the momentum to launch various ecological farming and breeding models such as fish-rice paddies, crab-rice paddies, and duck-rice paddies.
Duck-rice paddies precisely release 18 ducks per mu, living in harmony with the rice; shrimp-field rice reaches a taste value of 92.5, far exceeding the threshold for national standard high-quality rice.
Currently, 60% of the cooperative's high-end customers come from outside the province, and 90% of old customers renew their orders the following year, treating their one mu of field far away in Heilongjiang as a small concern on their own black soil land through the screen.
To attract more "landlords" to join, the cooperative has built a rice paddy maze and a farming experience base, turning one mu of field into an agricultural-tourism integration check-in spot, receiving 30,000 tourists a year.
Customized agriculture has also become a income-boosting endeavor for local villagers, with 200 surrounding farming households each increasing their income by more than 5,000 yuan on average.
In the "Claim One Mu of Field" mini-program, these past two days, "new landlords" with IP addresses from Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou have been placing orders one after another.
The cooperative's new plans have already been scheduled through next year: new pigsties have been built beside the field ridges, and Tibetan fragrant pigs and free-range chickens will all be added to the customization list; a rice museum is under construction, combining crayfish festivals, research study classes, and rice paddy train B&Bs to link up agriculture, culture, and tourism throughout all four seasons.
This year's autumn harvest horn has just sounded, and booking calls for next year are already ringing nonstop.
