Meta has officially taken a step into the enterprise AI market.

On September 28 local time, Meta founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced that the company has officially launched a new business pillar, the Meta Enterprise Platform, aimed at helping businesses use AI to achieve growth and transformation.

Zuckerberg said Meta will leverage its capabilities in advanced AI models, agents, large-scale infrastructure, and enterprise services to provide a complete AI technology stack to enterprises and developers. In its initial phase, the platform will focus on launching a series of products including Muse agents, Meta Business Agent, Muse API, and Muse Code.

Meta said the goal of the enterprise platform is to further translate the company's AI technology stack into products and services that enterprises can directly deploy. The company also emphasized that safety and privacy will be incorporated into enterprise product design from the very beginning.

At the same time, Meta announced the appointment of Chirantan "CJ" Desai as Chief Enterprise Platform Officer, reporting directly to Zuckerberg. Desai previously served as CEO and president of MongoDB, and earlier led product and engineering at Cloudflare. He also spent nearly eight years at ServiceNow, where he served as president and chief operating officer.

Desai said that in the coming years, AI will fundamentally change how enterprises innovate, grow, serve customers, and operate their businesses. Meta hopes to combine advanced models and agent capabilities with its experience serving hundreds of millions of businesses to provide enterprises with AI products and services that can be deployed directly.

Zuckerberg said Meta currently serves billions of users and helps hundreds of millions of businesses reach customers, and the enterprise platform will become an important business pillar for the company's next stage.
