Qatar's sovereign wealth fund is moving forward with plans to forge a $20 billion partnership with JPMorgan, just months after signing a comparable agreement with Goldman Sachs that underscores its deepening ties to Wall Street.
According to a statement released on Monday, the collaboration between Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) and JPMorgan Asset Management will span equities and credit across both public and private markets, confirming an earlier report from Bloomberg News.
The proposed arrangement includes a $15 billion mandate for public market equity investments aimed at supporting QIA's long-term investment objectives, alongside a $5 billion private market initiative focused on mid-sized companies in the United States.
This latest move follows QIA's January commitment to inject up to $25 billion into Goldman Sachs' asset management division. With approximately $580 billion in assets under management, the wealth fund ranks among the world's largest and most active institutional investors.
