During the National Day holiday, the Daoli Scenic Area in Taiping Street, Panshan County, Panjin City welcomed a peak in visitor traffic, with tourists from inside and outside the province gathering amid ten thousand mu of rice fields to take part in the "Celebrating the National Day in the Fragrance of Rice Flowers - Seven Days of Harvest Guochao Joy - 2026 Daoli Harvest Carnival" series of activities, unlocking a distinctive rural holiday experience amid the scent of rice and laughter.

Relying on a foundation of more than 500 mu of rice fields, the scenic area deeply combines land art, farming experiences, Guochao interactions, and local specialty cuisine, creating a rural tourism destination that offers both visual appeal and participatory appeal for parent-child families, young tourists, and nearby short-trip travelers.

The giant rice field artwork "Galloping Horses" attracted a large number of visitors who stopped to take photos. Long lines formed in front of interactive events at the agricultural fun sports meet, including corn shelling challenges, bean-carrying contests, and shoulder-pole relays. Special performances such as bamboo hat dances, model shows, long-handled fan dances, and opera dances were staged in succession, while the intangible cultural heritage handmade experience and specialty food stalls on Craftsman Street were bustling with activity.

Tourists from all over the country said that the Daoli Scenic Area has beautiful scenery, rich and varied activities, and a very good experience. A tourist from Beijing said: "I had heard before that Panjin's rice field paintings are very distinctive, so I deliberately came during the National Day holiday this time. Standing on the observation tower overlooking the 'Galloping Horses' rice field painting, the scene of horses galloping through golden rice waves was especially breathtaking. I brought my child to try corn shelling and river crab fishing, had authentic rice field iron pot stew at the Harvest Long Street Banquet at noon, and in the evening could enjoy the rice-field breeze in the camping area. This kind of slowed-down rural holiday is far more comfortable than rushing through scenic spots."

A tourist from Hangzhou said: "I had only seen large stretches of rice fields in Northeast China online before, and this time I was truly amazed when I arrived on site. Most rice fields in the south are small and patchy, while a golden sea of rice like this that stretches beyond sight, along with giant rice field paintings grown from colored rice, gives a completely different visual experience."

In the remaining holiday period, the scenic area will continue to launch themed interactive segments that change every day, allowing more tourists to feel the joy of harvest and the unique charm of rural cultural tourism amid the rice waves.
