Gansu Province plans to recruit 130 instructors for the "Silver Age Teaching Program."
Recently, it was learned from the Gansu Provincial Department of Education that Gansu Province is openly recruiting 130 instructors nationwide for the 2026-2027 academic year under the "Silver Age Teaching Program." It is understood that applicants for the "Silver Age Teaching Program" instructors are mainly retired principals, teaching researchers, special-grade teachers, and backbone teachers.
At the same time, applicants must be politically reliable, law-abiding and disciplined, of noble professional ethics, dedicated to their work, and highly competent; physically healthy, willing to devote themselves, unafraid of hardship, solid in work style, and rich in educational and teaching experience; possess a teaching qualification certificate for the corresponding subject, and in principle should have a mid-level or above teacher professional title, with senior-title teachers being the majority; their physical condition must allow them to adapt to work and life in the corresponding high-altitude and mountainous areas; and their age should generally be 65 years old or below (inclusive).
In addition, recruited lecture principals may serve as vice principals of recipient schools, guiding and participating in school management work; instructors may carry out lecture activities primarily based on classroom teaching according to their professional strengths. At the same time, they may also, according to the educational and teaching needs of recipient schools, conduct class observations and evaluations, offer open classes, organize seminar classes, hold special lectures, and carry out other diverse lecture activities such as guiding young teachers and assisting schools in teaching management and research activities.
