According to 908 New Media, the Xiongan-Shangqiu section of the Beijing-Hong Kong High-Speed Railway officially began operations today (September 28).
The Beijing-Hong Kong High-Speed Railway is one of the "vertical" lines in China's "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed rail network, starting from Beijing Fengtai Station and passing through Xiongan, Shangqiu, Hefei, Nanchang, Ganzhou, Shenzhen and other places before terminating at Hong Kong West Kowloon Station.

The Nanchang-Jiujiang section is under construction, and preliminary work for the Beijing Fengtai-Xiongan section is being actively and orderly advanced.
Starting today, passengers in Hefei, Huainan, Shouxian, Fuyang and Bozhou in Anhui Province can take high-speed rail directly to Beijing Daxing Airport.
