The county Natural Resources Bureau organized law enforcement personnel on October 1 to carry out industry safety production inspections and geological disaster prevention supervision checks, aiming to firmly tighten geological disaster prevention responsibilities and mitigate risks during the National Day holiday period.

The supervision team employed a combination of on-site surveys, document reviews, and on-the-spot inquiries to conduct inspections. During the inspection of mining enterprises, on-site enforcement was carried out at Xinyan Stone Materials Co., Ltd., where safety hazards identified during the investigation led to the company being legally ordered to immediately cut power and halt operations, fully clear machinery and equipment from the site, and seal them on location, resolutely curbing illegal production and risky operations.

Simultaneously, a safety production patrol was conducted at Dingxin Stone Materials Co., Ltd., with a focus on verifying the implementation of enterprise safety management systems and on-site risk prevention and control measures, reinforcing corporate accountability, urging enterprises to remain vigilant about safety at all times, and strictly implementing all safety control measures.

In addition, spot checks were conducted at geological disaster hazard points in Mijata Village, Gedong Town, with item-by-item verification covering key aspects such as hazard point monitoring and patrols, warning sign installation, mass monitoring and prevention operations, duty rosters, and emergency evacuation plans. Shortcomings and weaknesses identified during the inspection were pointed out on the spot and rectification tasks were assigned. Geological disaster prevention promotional materials were also distributed to nearby residents to spread awareness of disaster prevention and risk avoidance.

The supervision team emphasized that the National Day holiday is a critical period for safety precautions, and all mining enterprises must shoulder their primary responsibility for safety production and standardize production and operational procedures. Local authorities must remain constantly alert to geological disaster prevention, carry out regular hazard inspections and investigations, improve early warning and response mechanisms, ensure closed-loop rectification of problems, and resolutely hold the safety line.
