The construction of a project by Guizhou Shuanglong Cold Chain Logistics Development Co., Ltd. (hereafter referred to as "Shuanglong Cold Chain"), located in the Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone, is currently being accelerated.
This is a cold chain warehouse that integrates smart warehousing, deep processing, aviation distribution, and big data management, creating an efficient and convenient new circulation channel for Guizhou's specialty agricultural products to leave the mountains, connect with the whole country, and link to the world.
Relying on the core advantages of the economic zone's "one bureau, four centers" port opening and its location as an airport economy hub, Shuanglong Cold Chain deeply integrates multiple resources including aviation ports, bonded logistics, urban distribution, and smart management, shouldering the dual-circulation responsibility of the supply and marketing system to "bring agricultural products to the city and industrial goods to the countryside."
The project is based in Guiyang, radiates to the Southwest, connects the whole country, actively aligns with the cold chain logistics network along the "Belt and Road," and strives to build a cold chain logistics center with cross-regional distribution and transshipment capabilities.
According to Li Fugui, the company's investment promotion manager, the project has a total investment of nearly 500 million yuan and a total construction area of 86,664.3 square meters, with hardware configurations benchmarked against domestic industry high standards.
The park is only 13 kilometers from Guiyang's main urban area and is adjacent to the ring expressway. The well-connected transportation network makes it an excellent transit hub for urban fresh food distribution.
At the same time, the project includes high-standard environmental protection facilities and advanced biological sewage treatment equipment, with a daily sewage treatment capacity of 600 tons, achieving no secondary pollution throughout the process and striving to create a green, low-carbon cold chain industry demonstration park.
Cold chain logistics focuses on three core functional sections: multi-temperature zone smart cold storage, an agricultural product production and processing center, and a smart cold chain big data analysis center, comprehensively building a "1+6+N" modern agricultural product circulation network system and forming a full-chain closed-loop service model integrating "direct procurement at origin—sorting and processing—display and trading—cold chain circulation—smart management—terminal sales."
"The smart management platform is a major highlight of the project. It can monitor the production, transportation, and sales of agricultural products in real time throughout the entire process from production to sales, and can also monitor the real-time status of transport drivers, effectively ensuring that agricultural products 'travel safely and go further,'" Li Fugui said. The platform addresses the industry pain points of traditional agricultural product circulation, including high losses, low efficiency, and difficult traceability.
In addition, the park reserves specialized processing workshops, focusing on deep processing of meat and aquatic products, and building an integrated, full-process cold chain supply chain service system.
At the business level, the project can undertake storage, processing, and distribution of various fresh products such as vegetables, fruits, meat, aquatic products, dairy products, and quick-frozen foods, with services covering diversified market entities including production enterprises, wholesale markets, high-end supermarkets, and chain restaurants.
Through an efficient supply chain system, it reduces the circulation cost of fresh products and preserves their quality, allowing citizens to enjoy fresh, safe, and cost-effective fresh ingredients.
Internally, the project will effectively fill the gap in mid-to-high-end public cold chain resources in the Southwest region and smooth the two-way circulation between urban and rural areas; externally, relying on the advantages of the airport port, it will open cold chain distribution and transshipment channels to the whole country and even overseas, helping Guizhou's specialty agricultural products go out of the mountains and to the sea, and injecting strong momentum into the region's commercial opening to the outside world.
It is understood that the project includes No. 1 high-standard cold storage, No. 2 high-standard cold storage, and No. 3 production and processing workshop (of which No. 1 has been completed), and is expected to be fully completed and put into use by the end of 2026.
Li Fugui introduced: "After the project is completed and put into operation, the annual revenue is expected to reach about 30 million yuan. At present, the company has reached cooperation intentions with large enterprises such as Mengniu, Yili, and SF Express."
In the future, with the official operation of the project, Guizhou Shuanglong Cold Chain Logistics Development Co., Ltd. will fully leverage its location advantages, continue to smooth the two-way circulation channel for Guizhou goods going out and quality goods coming in, continuously activate the vitality of Guizhou's cold chain industry, and contribute important strength to the construction of the Southwest cold chain logistics network.
