In order to thoroughly implement the work arrangements of the 13th Luoyang Municipal Party Congress regarding industry-education integration and empowering industrial development, and to precisely align with the talent needs of Xin'an's low-altitude economy industry, Xin'an County Vocational Senior High School has deepened school-enterprise cooperation and optimized its program layout since the beginning of this year. It has newly launched a DJI drone order-based class and built a standardized drone assembly training workshop to support it. Through order-based training and job-oriented teaching models, the school has opened up a channel connecting talent cultivation with industry demand, building momentum for the high-quality development of the region's low-altitude economy.
In the drone assembly training workshop of Xin'an County Vocational Senior High School, Du Erqiang, a practical training instructor for the DJI order-based class, was carefully guiding students through hands-on operations. "Operate according to the drawings in your hands, and when assembling, be sure to check the position of each part and distinguish screw specifications..." Entering the school's newly opened drone assembly training workshop, standardized training stations are neatly arranged, various drone components are placed in an orderly manner, and the areas for sorting and processing, assembly and debugging, and performance testing are clearly divided with standardized procedures. In class, students hold tools, connect circuits, debug equipment, and gradually complete the entire drone assembly process.
To adapt to industrial development and meet students' diverse growth needs, the school has innovatively built a dual-track education model of "further study plus employment" and formed its first DJI order-based class. Fifty students have entered the class for a two-year targeted training program, allowing them to complete professional skills training while at school and directly join corresponding positions at enterprises after graduation, truly achieving "employment upon graduation and competence upon taking the job." Wu Jiajia, a professional course teacher for the DJI order-based class at the county vocational senior high school, introduced that the school's traditional regular drone class is oriented around further education as its core goal, focusing on helping students who wish to pursue higher education strive for admission to colleges and universities. The newly opened DJI order-based class, however, fully customizes its talent training plan according to the core needs of enterprise positions, carrying out specialized training around core skills such as drone flight operations, multi-scenario industry applications, and equipment inspection and maintenance. All teaching content and practical training projects conform to job standards. Students are secured by enterprises during their time at school, completely solving the problems of difficulty finding employment after graduation and slow adaptation to the job.
To hone students' solid practical skills, both the school and enterprises are deeply coordinated, bringing operation scenarios such as farmland plant protection and aerial spraying, county-level terrain aerial surveying, and power line inspections into the classroom. During their time at school, students can participate in hands-on operations throughout the process, proficiently master the operating skills of a full range of industry-grade drones, and obtain enterprise-recognized vocational skill certificates upon graduation. "I have always especially liked the drone major, and when I enrolled I chose the drone operation and maintenance direction. In the first year of high school, I built a solid foundation in basic theoretical knowledge, and in the second year the school opened the DJI order-based class, allowing us to learn real technology and practice hard skills according to enterprise standards." Wang Yitong, a student in the DJI order-based class, said that a clear employment direction has given her more motivation to study, and she will strive to become a professional and excellent drone pilot after graduation.
From "the classroom revolving around textbooks" to "teaching closely following industry," the implementation of the DJI drone order-based class is not only an upgrade in the professional development of Xin'an's vocational education, but also a key practice in the transition of industry-education integration from "physical superposition" to "chemical reaction." It connects the growth channel for students to become skilled professionals on one end and the rigid talent demand of the regional low-altitude economy industry on the other. While opening a fast track of "employment upon graduation" for students, it is also deeply embedding the talent supply chain of vocational education into the innovation value chain of local industries, injecting a steady stream of talent vitality into the development of Xin'an's low-altitude economy.
