There are indications that Insta360 Innovation is pushing into the AI glasses space and conducting related research and development, with a possible product launch in the future, according to a person close to the company.

Earlier, Insta360 Innovation was granted a utility model patent titled "Wearable Glasses." The patent abstract shows that the glasses' main body is worn on the head, while the battery device is separated from the main body and worn on another part of the body, supplying power through an electrical connection cable. The stated purpose is to "reduce the weight borne by the user's head and lower the pressure of prolonged wear."

This "split-battery" design approach differs markedly from the current mainstream AI glasses solution of placing the battery inside the temples, and is closer to an engineering orientation aimed at long-duration wear for shooting.
