During the first two days of the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, Beijing sent a total of approximately 1.483 million railway passengers, with 920,000 passengers on September 25 and 563,000 on September 26.
Today, the holiday enters its return peak, with an estimated 768,000 passengers returning to Beijing by train. The "eight stations and two airports" are ensuring residents' and travelers' return journeys through measures such as extended subway operating hours, increased bus capacity, airport bus discounts, and strengthened taxi dispatch.
Today, seven subway lines — Lines 2, 3, 4, 7, 10, 14, and the Daxing Airport Express — form a networked loop with extended operating hours. The Daxing Airport Express will operate until 11:30 pm, while the other six lines will operate until 2:00 am the following day.
Buses are increasing the frequency of night routes, operating emergency shuttle buses, and airport buses are adding reserve vehicles at night. Airport bus routes have launched time-limited discounts, with two airport bus routes operating 24 hours without interruption.
At the same time, taxis are strengthening nighttime "guaranteed point" operations, and ride-hailing services are tilting dispatch orders toward key stations and launching incentive mechanisms. The Beijing Railway Station area has achieved online short-distance order acceptance and intelligent dispatch management for taxis, making short-distance connection services more efficient and standardized.
Currently, the intelligent ride-hailing calling systems and electronic screens at Beijing West Railway Station, South Railway Station, North Railway Station, Chaoyang Railway Station, Fengtai Railway Station, and Tongzhou Railway Station are all in operation.
To ensure passenger travel, Beijing Railway plans to add 86 pairs of passenger trains today, mainly heading to Harbin, Shenyang, Dalian, Datong, Qingdao, Shanghai, Wuhan, as well as Tianjin, Shijiazhuang, Qinhuangdao, and other directions.
Passengers should pay special attention that the Daxing Airport ride-hailing pickup point has been adjusted to the new ride-hailing area on the northeast side of the terminal building (formerly P2 parking garage). Passengers are advised to proceed via Gate 14 on the east side of the terminal's second floor and wait in an orderly manner according to the area signage and numerical guidance at the pickup point.
